And wow - did I FLY on the new wheel today! I finished spinning up the "Innuendo" and wound up Navajo plying about 2/3 of it too, during the race today!

Challenge stage! I spun the entire race time it was on tv too - from 5:30 until after 11! I'm tired! yarnwench "Flaming Pie 2" Blue-faced Leicester. I had a part of a finely spun bobbin done. I spun up most of the rest of it as a soft thick and thin on the old Ashford with it's jumbo flyer, then plied that around the more finely spun stuff... I don't do " ( Read more... )

Woot! The pants are nearly done!! One more day - have to finish the crotch seam, topstitch everything, make one last buttonhole, and sew on buttons...

Not to mention the first plied skein of "Dragonfly" This little skein? 368 1/3 yards, 2-ply, 44 wraps/inch, AND only 1.5 oz!

Got up at 7:15, started right on time when the "Live" coverage started of Le Tour de France at 7:30.

Three hours spinning "Dragonfly 1" by yarnwench a stunningly beautiful merino/silk blend. Using my antique flax wheel - it's FINE stuff! It will ply up as a lovely lace-weight.
